Although Alla Vard came from a high society family in Russia she insisted on designing and making her own clothes. She started sewing at the age of six and made her first piece of clothing (an elegant evening dress) for her mom five years later when she was only eleven years old. By the time Alla Vard was in her mid-twenties she was designing her Haute-Couture gowns and selling them to the upper class.
